Support EVAAM

Keep the music living and keep the community singing. Evolution of African American Music, Inc. (EVAAM) exists to preserve, teach, and activate 400 years of African American music—not as history locked in the past, but as a living tradition that continues to shape who we are today.

Your support, whether a one-time gift, year-end contribution, or ongoing monthly support, helps us bring this music to life through education, performance, and community connection.

A Note from Our Founder

I created Evolution of African American Music because I believe this music carries wisdom—about survival, joy, creativity, and community—that the world still needs.I’ve spent my life performing, teaching, and learning from this tradition. What I know to be true is that this music was never meant to be held by a few—it lives when it’s shared.

When you give to EVAAM, you’re not just supporting programs. You’re helping keep a living cultural legacy alive. You’re helping artists teach, communities gather, and people remember who they are through song.Thank you for walking alongside us.
